What a better way to wrap up the 3rd week of Heroic progress, as well as going away on our Christmas break, than with another heroic kill, the fourth in a row.
This time it was Yor'sahj the Unsleeping. The boss took 33 tries in total to die over the period of a night and a half worth of raiding. Probably our fastest learning curve in heroic Dragon Soul thus far so we are beggining to warm up real good for the later half of the raid instance. Very well tuned encounter, felt edgy and the fast kill was a result of a lot of background tactics work involved in our forums, so a huge thank you to everyone participating there, as well as the people who logged on a Thursday night to raid, an offday for Genesis, so that we can now have 5 days worth of Christmas vacation. Regen that much needed mana people, cu all next reset!

The Dragon Soul raiding progress in review: Week 2

It didn't take too long for us to kill off Morchok, Zon'ozz and Hagara on heroic.
Almost halfway there for the final goal!
Hagara the Stormbinder didn't last for longer than half a raid night.

Warlord Zon'ozz on the other hand took nearly 3 nights to kill, pretty well thought encounter and one that puts a lot of strain on the healing team. Proper Heroic Leap from Killspree and

Last but not least(not really), Morchok and his twin brother Kohcrom, serve as an introduction both in order as well as in difficulty for Dragon Soul raid encounters.

It's been a while since the last major update of the main page, aka the announcement of the Heroic:Ragnaros kill so it's about time for a news recap!
So what has Genesis been on about during the past 6 weeks?
Farming Firelands mainly. But there is so much more than that going on.

Melchemia took the time, despite his ever busy university schedule, to edit the FRAPS material of our first Raggy kill and put together a great video which you can find on Genesis' youtube channel, the guild's website Media section or on a direct download link here.

Ever since Dragon Soul was activated on Patch 4.3's PTR servers, Genesis is actively testing the new content on Naralex EU. We now have experienced the majority of what the new raiding content has to offer. You can find screenshots of our raids and various spoilers on the new content in the relative Media section gallery. If only the late announcements of Heroic PTR testing wouldn't make our lives there a tad more annoying! Proper thumbs up to the PTR crew,
Omnyslash, Vijaya, Cybes and all those who regularly attend & help run the raids there.

Last but not least, Genesis is looking for more thirsty, hardcore raiders with little time to raid!
The core of the raiding squad is being formed ahead of Dragon Soul raiding but there still are very limited spots left for the most competent of raiders out there. Less than 3 weeks remaining for Patch 4.3, if you want to experience the edge of heroic raiding on a 12 hours/week schedule, then this is your chance:

If you think that your current guild does not match your own potential and want to improve your gameplay and further your PvE experience.
If you are raiding in a top guild and you are looking to reduce your time spent raiding while still progressing on a reasonable manner.
If you are looking for a competitive yet stable environment. Genesis is a leader in the 3 days raiding scene for 5 years now and we do not intend on giving up our status any time soon.
If you never quite managed to get your way around end bosses in the game, Genesis has a long standing history of clearing all available content long before the next major content patch arrives.
